Social justice - creating justice
Social inequality around the world has been steadily intensifying for years. The growing gap between rich and poor ensures that millions of people continue to live in extreme poverty, while private wealth continues to grow.
Inequality in wealth and income - but also in education, health, and social security - hinders the development of individuals and societies. The importance of social inequality is demonstrated by the fact that often women and indigenous groups are more affected by hunger and poverty and rural people more than urban people.
We support particularly vulnerable people in making their voices heard and demanding basic social services from their governments. Disadvantaged people should know their rights and become involved in political processes. Women and men are equally supported in standing up for their rights. Without gender justice, the fight against poverty will not be successful.

Improve livelihoods and living conditions of rural communities by promoting access to clean water and sanitation, and strengthening educational quality, health, and economic status.
Domestic workers in El Salvador usually live and work under the most precarious conditions. In order for them to be able to stand up for their rights, competent authorities, sensitisation of the workers and effective representation are needed.
The India Programme (FFVDP- Family focused village development programme) supports efforts to sustainably improve the lives of marginalised people.
